Football Coaching Playbook
Coaching is more than calling plays.
It is LEADERSHIP!
It is DISCIPLINE!
It is PLAYER DEVELOPMENT!
It is BUILDING STANDARDS young men can carry BEYOND the field!
As a coach, my mission is simple:
Teach with Purpose.
Coach with Conviction.
Develop the Whole Athlete.
Defend the Standard.
Attack each day.
The game matters, but the people matter more. Wins are built through preparation, accountability, effort, communication, and consistency.
People Over Plays.
Standards Over Hype.
Development Over Excuses.
Built to Coach! Built to Build!

The transfer portal changed the timeline.
College programs need players who are already physically prepared, mentally mature, and ready to compete. That means high school Strength & Conditioning is no longer just an offseason add-on.
It is a DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE.
The athletes who train with discipline, build durable bodies, learn how to recover, and take preparation seriously will have a better chance to earn opportunities when the next level starts evaluating.
In this era, talent is not enough.
You need:
• Strength
• Speed
• Explosiveness
• Durability
• Accountability
• Coachability
• Consistency
Development is not optional anymore. It is the difference.

You can’t coach to please everyone.
Parents will have opinions.
Players will have opinions.
People will question decisions they don’t fully understand.
@CoachKurtHines’ reminder:
Live to an audience of one.
Listen to people.
Serve people.
Love people.
But don’t let every opinion become your compass.
High School Football taught me accountability, toughness, discipline, and how to keep showing up when things are not easy.
As a coach, that is why I take this game seriously. We are not just coaching plays. We are helping shape habits, standards, and young men.
