A bittersweet celebration last night as the entire team wanted updates on Elias’s diagnosis. Kid is a fighter and will be back 100% next year.

Harris and the rest of our team will rally and close out this season wherever we end up for Bowl Season.

Unfortunate news confirmed this morning. True FR QB Alfonso Elias will miss the rest of the season with a dislocated elbow.

Speaking from experience, we won 2 to 3 games each of my first two season at SJSU last cycle. By cycles end, we were towards the top of the MWC, flirting with being ranked and had a playoff appearance. RZNCAA isn’t for those that want things handed to them. All is earned.

If every QB that I coach was like AJ Swann, I’d coach for 90 years. Did what was asked of him last season, helped lead us to a bowl win. This year, we turn the offense over to his arm and decision making, and he has not missed a beat. Proud of this kid.

We announced to the team who were named this seasons Team Captains. These six young men have earned the respect of their peers and have shown this staff how to show up for this team day in and day out. Congrats to them.

Spring game was a success. Training camp… whole team is putting in the work. Joint practices have seen some ups and downs. But our guys fought for 60 mins every time. Excited to get to Wk 0 and take on Charlotte at the Duke’s Mayo Classic.
