In an alternate reality, if Bennett Stirtz had played four seasons at the D-II level, called it a career and was now getting into the workforce, what would he do?
“Probably still go back home and do a lawn mowing business and keep that up with my brothers. Build that up. I think that’s what I’d be doing. That’s a good backup plan, right?"
Bennett Stirtz reflecting on last season at Iowa: "When we were at rock bottom, when we were losing three straight games, we stuck together as a team. Everything’s not going to be sunshine and rainbows. You’ve got to go through the struggle. I think the struggle and suffering changes you. So just seeing what we’ve been through and what we made it to — close to our goal — I think that was super special. And then, the relationships that I had was something that I’ll never let go.”
Bennett Stirtz scorched the nets with his shooting at the NBA combine. No. 1 in spot-up shooting, No. 3 in off the dribble and No. 2 in side-mid-side.
Shooting translates. Nice day for him.
One of the best in the business 👏
