The Daily Grind ☕️ The Delight Before the Desire
For many, outcomes tend to be the most important element in an endeavor. We focus on what is produced, sometimes more than how and why it is produced.
In today’s verse, it’s easy to run past the “Delight yourself in the Lord” part and right to the outcome: “He will give you the desires of your heart.” It almost sounds like a genie-in-a-bottle scenario.
However, it is anything but that. This is about heart alignment. The most important part is not the outcome or what is produced, but the alignment of our heart with God’s.
When our heart is aligned with God’s, our desires change. The heart moves from wanting what it wants to wanting what God wants. No genie here. Just the alignment of our heart with His. - Pastor Jimmy
The Daily Grind ☕️ Words That Heal
As you step into a new day, make it your aim to speak healing words that bring life to every person you encounter.
There’s enough pessimism and negativity in our world. Be a life-giver and a light-bringer.
Your gentle words can bring healing to the walking wounded and be a tree of life as you go about your day. - Pastor Jimmy
The Daily Grind ☕️ Created to Flow
The beauty of what Jesus is teaching is that the Spirit will flow out of you naturally and effortlessly as He dwells in you.
No need to “stir up your faith” or try harder.
Simply believe, receive, then show up and He will flow to you, in you, and through you.
Today picture yourself as a river, not a reservoir, with His river of life overflowing wherever you go. - Pastor Jimmy
“And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.”
Luke 24:5-6 ESV

The Daily Grind ☕️ Protect What Matters Most
Solomon is giving counsel to his son and tells him, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
The heart is the core of who you are, and you leak out of your heart what you’re full of.
It is where your thoughts, desires, choices, and emotions come from.
He is saying to treat your heart like something worth protecting... like a soldier standing watch over something valuable.
Your life flows in the direction of your heart, so guard it with all diligence. - Pastor Jimmy
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:1-2 ESV
The Daily Grind ☕️ How To Become Devour-Proof
Did you know your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour?
Peter gives us clear counsel on how to become devour-proof.
Be sober-minded: clear-headed, self-controlled, and spiritually alert; not spiritually dulled or distracted.
Be watchful: like soldiers on guard duty, stay awake, be alert, and keep watch. Be alert to spiritual danger, like deceptive teaching.
Resist him: a defensive military term meaning to stand against, oppose, withstand, or hold your ground.
Firm in your faith: describes something that cannot easily be shaken or moved. This is how you resist your adversary.
The good news is that Jesus won the war. Now you get to enforce His victory every day as you stand, resist, and hold your ground. - PJ

The Daily Grind ☕️ Everyday Boldness
Cousin John, aka John the Baptizer, was courageous in his testimony and witness of Jesus.
His boldness set the tone for the long-anticipated arrival of the Messiah, who would usher in a new kingdom reality.
Today, we too get to testify and witness on behalf of Jesus, the “One who takes away the sin of the world.”
Don’t hold back. Don’t be quiet. Live your faith out loud in the daily routines and rhythms of life.
No grandstanding necessary, just a life that shines with the character and integrity of Christ living in you. - Pastor Jimmy
