Your ability to find JOY in the process over the next 3 months has a huge impact on “what’s next”
Coaches see passion for the game instantly.
It’s also easy to see when pressure to perform impacts joy of playing the game.
Don’t forget why you grabbed a ball to begin with ⚾️
NESCAC recruiting is a different sport.
Williams, Amherst, Tufts, Bowdoin, Bates — these coaches care about:
AP course load
Whether the athlete reads
Whether the family can pay (no athletic scholarships)
Whether the kid genuinely wants the academic experience
If your son hates school, NESCAC is not the answer.
Ivy League, Patriot League, NESCAC, and high-academic Division III recruiting are not just baseball decisions.
They are academic-athletic fit decisions.
Families have to understand the classroom, the roster, the admissions reality, and the athlete’s readiness.
As the 2026 season concludes
-There was ups
-There was downs
-There was growth
-There was resiliency
-There was struggle
Through it all:
The culture never wavered.
The vision is clear.
We continue to build and LEARN
To recruiting we go!

The dream was never out of reach for him-he just kept grinding.
Relentless pursuit for greatness.
Always knew he’d end up here. Proud of my guy, @lraley20 💪🏼
Find peace in your preparation!
You’ve worked too hard for too long to question your mechanics after every strikeout, walk or error.
Biggest in-season adjustments are made between the ears 🧠
Just because you’re capable of sitting 90+ doesn’t mean you’re READY to.
Unless our foundational values go back to efficiency and mix we will continue to see
-staff days
-walks
-injuries
We need to get a grip on what matters!
How could anybody argue this?? Coaches like velo but they LOVE “feel”.
Seen a lot of 86-88 with a 3-4 pitch arsenal make really good hitters look really average.
Priority number 1 is always command and pitch-mix.
The velocity era is a tired act.
Watching dudes with below command trying to throw as hard as they can every pitch is vomit worthy.
It's time for the pitchability, moxie and feel era to resurface.
Control and command the ball.
Then learn to throw it harder, not the other way around.
