Pioneers win and clinch a spot in regionals for the second straight year, the first time Gentry has achieved that feat since making three straight regionals from 2002 to 2004.

The Pioneers head to Prairie Grove this afternoon for a conference game with the Tigers making the return trip tomorrow to complete the series. A win in either game clinches a berth in regionals. A sweep sets up a series with Gravette next week for the 3-seed in regionals.

Despite a late game comeback with a 4-run 6th inning and loading the bases in the 7th, the Pioneers lost a tough battle to Pea Ridge last night at home. The teams meet again this evening in Pea Ridge as we go for the series split.
