@Coach_Beckmann@Coach_Rowland_ Are they posting to celebrate the offer? Or are they posting to express their gratitude? These are kids. Young adults. Young adults who have no idea how the world really works. I don’t have a problem with them posting about their offers because they’re excited.
PSA: AAU officials - I know you work 1,000 games in a weekend & I know that by 7 pm on Sunday you are done, but you are responsible for the safety of the players on the floor…when you stop calling fouls b/c you don’t want the clock to stop bad & dangerous things happen!!!
I’ve seen this in AAU/Travel the last couple of years. A coach who cares more about his own W/L stats than player development.
Players development is why we’re supposed to be here.
We have far too many adults who use youth & high school sports to boost their own sense of value & importance. Coaching kids is often a thankless job, but the moment a coach forgets that kids are still kids - all to chase wins, stats, or personal recognition - they’ve lost sight of what it’s really supposed to be about.
I’ll never understand AAU/Travel coaches that only play ZONE defense.
Your ball players will not develop the essential on ball defensive skills necessary for when they go back to play for their high school.
Players need man-to-man defense. Man-to-man defense. Man-to-man press.
@CoachDomBrooks I don’t think this is personal at all. I think this is brutal truth. Some of these athletes have agents who are bleaching off of them. Giving bad advice. Especially in the PR department.
