Here’s part II of “What’s wrong with Hearthstone with ugly visuals”. Sorry, but this is a long, long thread. The core of the argument is that the *minions* power creep has almost entirely removed from the game 2 core concepts of Hearthstone: Initiative and card advantage.
@questhodgson@BCollamer Imagine living in a world where more music come out each year than you could ever listen to and still think there's nothing good in there.
@WickedGood Can he though? I remember vividly Obama doing one of those post-shooting speech and he was so obviously frustrated by his inhability to do anything about it.
@carvabass Lol yeah I also thought to myself "You said that about Gears of War". But I think it's a lot more difficult to get marginal improvements today than it was 17 years ago.
So I've been playing Forbidden West in 4k on the PS4 Pro and I think this is it folks. We made it. We can stop improving video games graphics. Just keep it at this level and focus on improving gameplay, storytelling and accessibility.
@WickedGood That sounds about right! I'm enjoying it so far. I've burnt out quickly on open world games recently so I'm curious to see how this one will go.
@RidiculousHat@Monsanto_HS You always have so many options every turn, it's hard not to feel like you could have done something better. Except for a couple of games vs Quest Warrior, I felt like I could have won every game if I had played differently. It's not a feeling I get often in Hearthstone ^^
