You maybe already saw this.
Tennis player Mahut losing at Roland Garros in front of his family, breaks down in tears.
His kid runs on court to hug him.
His opponent Mayer getting emotional.
Father and son walk away hand in hand.
Losing, winning, living.
Oh preach. We have too many tennis “coaches” being fast tracked through qualifications by NGBs without putting the miles in. Having a fast tracked/ donated qualification does not make you an effective coach. Nobody would ever fast track a school teacher.
70% of the coaches I see are burned out. Long hours, juggling family, travel and other commitments whilst trying to run effective programs or train their athletes. IMO some coaches could do a much better job in time management and delegating jobs to fellow staff/colleagues.
It’s your ATTITUDE and MINDSET that sets you up to either win or lose. It doesn’t matter how challenging or difficult things look right now. Fact is, if you BELIEVE you can do it and you’re willing to put in the work— you will eventually ACHIEVE your goals. 💯
Being a coach or teacher isn’t easy. You work longer hours than you get paid for. You get judged & criticized by people who aren’t even qualified or in the know. You at times get blamed for poor results, but still keep optimistic & excited about what you do—RESPECT!
