The biggest surprise of the event was 6-7 2026 W Tim Dorn (Mira Mesa), whose family just arrived to SD after a naval tour in Hawaii.

The long, wiry wing has high major athleticism and length, and scores it effectively attacking the basket with his dominant hand.

Stopped by Canyon Crest and caught a solid game between Mt Carmel and Mira Mesa. 2026 Marauders G Diego Ortiz could potentially be one of the section’s breakout stars. The Sundevils have a pair of markedly improved prospects in 6-5 ‘24 Ray Hourani and 6-1 ‘25 Blaine Raagas.

@CoachHackGO Thoughts on peel switching off the corner on wing/alley drives? We lack size & rim protection and give up layups even with good Low I help. Peel will stop penetration earlier, eliminate backside rotation, and the switch should get to corner 3 if done effectively.
