Is this real or a parody account? It literally says “public schools must accept every student living in their district.” How is this hard to grasp? Just admit the grift and put it to the people to vote.
Liberals across Texas claim that public schools must accept every single student.
But just like private schools, public schools DON'T have to do that.
Democrats need to stop lying to their constituents.
The Texas voucher scam screws over taxpayers, rural Texans, and 4.9 million students in public schools, just so Greg Abbott’s rich buddies can get a discount on their private school tuition.
No public dollars for private schools. #TexasTake#txlege#txed
@ElkinsKnights I’d like to hear more about the eligibility issues. Grade oversights are different than PAPF mistakes or outright fraud, etc. Seems odd it would span 3 programs there.
Vouchers don’t help poor kids — they just help rich parents who already send their kids to private school.
I asked if Greg Abbott’s voucher scam would give $80,000 to wealthy CEOs.
The answer was YES. #txlege
@hayden_gasaway@RedRaider1995@EllenTroxclair I’m impressed you got a straight answer on her vote. Hard to believe the bulk of her rural constituents want to be bullied into vouchers. At least it tells us “non-lakeway folk” how to vote next fall. It would be nice to get a conservative in there that understands education.
@EllenTroxclair After having you tour local campuses I’d also love to hear the examples of “leftist indoctrination” you encountered. This would be concerning (and shocking) in the Texas Hill Country.
@EllenTroxclair still curious as to how you’re going to vote on Friday. As the rep for a rural district (lakeway being the exception) I can only assume you’ll be voting against it.
@JimmyDonBurris@EllenTroxclair@EllenTroxclair still trying to get a clear and concise answer as to where you stand on vouchers. I know your up next fall, but I want to start planning my votes now. If you or your social media team could respond it would be much appreciated.
