@frankmikesmith Little Joe is a generational talent. Multiple escapes from captivity shows his talent. His 2003 escape and roaming of the streets near by is still thing of legend. Sad to see him go. But, you have to take advantage of the opportunity to get younger at the Gorilla position.
@DrJesseMorse@BrianSuttererMD Dons this to both knees. Left one was same mechanism. Trying to elevate for a dunk in college. Right one was doing hurdle hops while training. Twelve years a part. Years of patellar tendinitis lead to both.
If you are a HS basketball player watching the tournament and think just playing AAU and doing skill work for the next 5 months without touching a weight 2-3 x a week is going to prepare you for this level of physicality, good luck!
Crossfit is cool.
Calisthenics is cool.
Bodybuilding is cool.
Martial arts is cool.
As a fitness community, we need to come together and only hate on runners. Those people are weird.
@BenVolin It’s a hard business. Pats see opportunity to get younger at the position and free up money they will need to sign Gonzo and Maye long term. If he produced in Playoffs and Super Bowl it would be different. Good roster move.
Youth sports isn’t dying from lack of talent. It’s dying from overload. No free play, rest, recovery, off-seasons. Too many showcases & tournaments. Not enough development. Parent ego + social media pressure fuel the fire. We don’t need more exposure. We need better environments.
