Race Day at the crossplex in the 1 Mile and the 800. It’s definitely tough but it’s still fun to get out there and compete.
+ have one of my seniors racing an indoor meet in Ohio today as well.
In my geometry class I made a word problem about forming a right triangle after racing at an indoor track meet so I thought I might as well make that come true today. Obviously this was not immediately after the race and it’s not perfect but it’s the thought that counts.
@GregMcMillan Set new PR’s on the track this winter & spring but ultimately have a full and fulfilling season and continue to get faster, fitter, and keep running happy!
Of course motivation tends to fade over time, however by searching for and embracing novelties in training when they come along helps maintain some of that stamina. It’s easy to forget that when training intensifies alongside the fatigue from “wear and tear”.
It’s hard to describe it but I had that “enthusiastic start of a new season” feeling as I did a track workout this AM. The excitement and novelty anticipating the season ahead is one of my favorites in sports. Love that I get to share that as a coach and athlete.
It’s been a memorable fall semester. Thankful for memories and traditions new and old. Excited for the holidays and even more excited for indoor track to begin. 2023 awaits!
Yesterday was “let’s go outside and take pretty pictures with fall foliage” for photography club. Needless to say we all had fun and got some creative and interesting shots…coach included 😁
The Lions came and conquered today. LOTS of big PR’s and season bests in rainy conditions @ Cherokee Boulevard in Knoxville, TN. Felt great to be back on my home turf(ish) with the team.
#FinishHerRun - 3.4 miles to remember Eliza. Everyone should feel safe outside no matter what time of day. Shouldn’t be scary to run at 4:30am if that’s the time you have to get in your workout.
