After lots of thought, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left. Recently became a U.S. Open All-American and I’m looking for the right opportunity at the next level. Open to both football and wrestling opportunities, but wrestling is my priority
@nate_albaugh Have 2 off season lifting periods one in the AM and one in the PM offers to fit either schedule. Football related activities after PM workouts. Assign Teams and award points when the team makes the workouts. Add an incentive either weekly or monthly to the team that has mostpoint
@CoachShiffman Iso, Power O, and Pitch. Forces the defense to defend every gap because if they are trying to take away one play they are giving you another.
@jimshapiro Sole exception is weight lifting they should be continuing to build themselves and their bodies it will positively impact whatever they are currently doing.
Obviously I’d love to have them at all the off season workouts but priority goes to in season sports
@jimshapiro You have to define all in. In my opinion if I want a kid who is truly all in I want them all in in whatever they are doing. Whether it’s school, another sport, or any other positive activity. They made a commitment to their current season to be all in.
@CoachRock73 It doesn’t matter what your system is you have to emphasize it and master it with your players if you want to be successful year after year
@CoachRock73 I feel this goes for any concept you put into your arsenal. If you think “oh yeah we can sprinkle in some power and counter” you will not be successful in those unless you have vastly superior talent. There isn’t enough time in the day yet alone season to be a jack of all trades.
