After working with University of Cincinnati Football for the past year and a half, I saw firsthand how much time special teams staffs spend tracking data through paper charts and spreadsheets. That experience led me to build Special Teams HQ, an analytics platform built for special teams. Coaches can get more insight, faster, without the manual work of tracking specialists, while kickers and punters can track their progress, identify areas to improve, and share their profile with coaches. Licenses for individual specialists are also available. Check it out: https://t.co/UdSNI40eLC
CONGRATS to Dr Philip Hurley for receiving the “Distinguished Service Award” at the KY Athletics Administrators Association awards banquet. Dr Hurley is a prime example of what “Distinguished Service” is all about. He served the athletes of OHS for decades. Well deserved! #FILD
@RNS_Historian Never read Clarke, but I do know that Red knew Tiger Ellison personally & that the two often exchanged ideas. Common threads in their philosophies are too many to count. Have always lamented Red not writing and publishing a book. He was a great story teller on top of all else!
@coachkj62 @heaintshhh @coachdanedamron If memory serves, this was year prior to your arrival. Only one year later would you and I set the world record time for lining a practice field! Good times!
@CoachTParr Possibly some truth here but a thought I’ll throw out: could coach’s bias toward the gym rat vs the multi-sport guy cloud judgment? Is it rewarding the gym rat or subconsciously punishing the multi sport guy?
@heaintshhh @DaleCarlson63@Gtown_Football Red called that action “Guards East” and had an entire offense worth of tags from that one action. He could attack the entire field from it, and despite it representing essentially a 3 back offense, could get his skilled guys the ball in a variety of ways.
@heaintshhh @DaleCarlson63@Gtown_Football I’m retired but used the Goaline (then named “Orange” at Gtown) package at 3 different stops. Very reliable results at all 3 places. Quite effective if you can run, or even threaten with, the sweep.
Extraordinary designer and teacher of offensive 🏈. Elite play-caller. Even better man.
Here we are before the 2005 KY-TN All Star game. Chris Pardue was our OC. Scored 41 points and won by two TDs.
You will be missed. Thank you for a huge, positive impact on KY HS 🏈.
