@JayBilas This move wasn’t about Batt seeking “fair value” it was about escaping the BoT at MSU for basically the same job imo. Kentucky is also paying MSU for poaching him (something that should happen with the athletes as well)
If a pitcher with a 9.93 ERA at Lake Michigan College made me look that bad on a swing and then hit the griddy after I would simply quit the sport immediately.
Jeremy Fears Jr. is withdrawing from the 2026 NBA Draft and will return to Michigan State next season, per his agent Mike Miller.
Will be an All-American entering the 2026-27 season.
Fears had second-round options, but opted to return to East Lansing.
@PlayboiSparty Only if he goes to the NBA, gets picked 43rd and gets 6 mins a game will it make me resent him. If he goes and is in R1 and plays meaningful minutes next year then I’m all for it
@tromblybaseball If you were the best at your job with almost 500 people working there (amount of SA in sunbelt) and didn’t get paid to work (or very little), would you upgrade to a job that paid you at minimum 6 figures? Not to mention other benefits that come with upgrading. It’s a no brainer
@RaphealDavis3 Everything is trending towards him staying in the draft. I don’t understand why people thought he was a sure thing to go back to MSU given the way he played this season and his pedigree. Do you think he stays in the draft or goes back to school Raph?
@Top_Lvl_Ath@CraigStem Get coaches in the college ranks that can utilize the 9 months they have with the student athletes much more effectively than they are now. I don’t get why it isn’t talked about more. Pitchers can and should make jumps in the fall and winter.
@CraigStem “Everything in your power to get better stuff” meaning cutting you a check for $600 for an eval, then another 1-2k for remote training? Or why don’t they just spend 10k for the summer and go to the facility? All to touch 90 and MAYBE get 5 to 10 more innings in the spring
