Toledo hired a revenue guy as its AD, and he's running athletics like a pro front office...

@MorelandUT was one of the first chief commercial officers in college sports at Illinois, then led revenue generation at Purdue. Now in the AD chair, he's building proactive outbound sales and development staffs focused on one-on-one relationships, instead of waiting on fan affinity to do the work. He also wants all fan-facing revenue under one leader, a model he says he's seen work.

The target: lead the MAC in ticket sales and annual fund growth by investing in staff and technology to reach Northwest Ohio's 1.7M people. He's projecting significant ROI over the next two to three sales cycles.

That's a lot of businesses within driving distance of the Glass Bowl. An AD who thinks in sales cycles is exactly who you want calling on them 💰 @ToledoRockets

A BIG thank you to all the MLB Scouts that came to Scout Day. We had 25 of the 30 teams in attendance today. UT 🚀 Baseball has sent at least 1️⃣ player to pro baseball for 6️⃣ straight years. 2️⃣ MAC POY’s, 2️⃣ MAC FR Pitcher of Year, 1️⃣MAC Pitcher of the Year during that same span!
