3 huge mistakes players make in the off season:
They don't work hard enough or consistently enough
They don't work on the right things, meaning they work on cool, flashy things
They don't balance play vs. train enough. They don't get enough of "my time" to work on their game
“I think I’m masterful when it comes to knowing certain things on the floor, but that doesn’t make me a great coach. What makes me a great coach is I know how to meet people where they are to take them where they need to go.”
- Dawn Staley

Michael Jordan was once asked what he thought his best skill was.
He didn’t say it was his ability to dunk from the free throw line or his scoring ability.
His answer: “I was coachable. I was a sponge and aggressive to learn.”
The easier you are to lead, the further you’ll go.
COACHES: The 2015 Central Florida team finished 0-12. Just two years later, they went 13-0 with 51 players that remained from that winless team. It's not always about getting different players. Sometimes the process is developing the potential of those athletes you already have.
PLAYERS: It's hard to hold your teammates accountable if you are not holding yourself accountable. Do what's right. Set the standard. Be the standard. Don't just tell teammates what to do, but show them how it's done.
Dear WBB Players,
Your value on a team isn’t limited to scoring. The game needs rebounders, great passers, screeners, a hype woman, someone to keep the team calm during chaos, a defender! The list goes on.
Don’t shy away from doing the little things that make a difference!
