Thank You, Coach Champion
With the conclusion of the IHSA State Tournament today, we also mark the end of an era in Huskie Wrestling.
After serving as Head Boys Wrestling Coach since 2003 — and years before that as an assistant — Coach Tom Champion is stepping away from the head coaching role and will move into an assistant position next season.
More than two decades of leadership. Thousands of practices. Countless matches. Generations of young men shaped by his expectations, consistency, and care.
Coach Champion built more than a wrestling program — he built relationships, standards, and a culture that will last well beyond any single season. He coached his own sons in this program and mentored hundreds of others with the same steady presence and integrity.
We are grateful for his loyalty to Naperville North and thankful he will continue impacting our student-athletes in a new role.
Thank you, Coach.
