Congrats to TJ Clayton, finishing 6th and earning All-American honors in the 100 at DIII Nationals. TJ’s time of 10.44 was a new school record and personal best. Way to go TJ!!
@RhodesLynxTFXC Jared Briant (with proud mom!) finishes 9th in today’s steeple finals at nationals in 8:55.98. Jared finishes an incredible sr year with school records in the mile, 3k, 5k, as well as crushing his own SC record in Thursday’s prelims in 8:55.94! Congrats Jared!
TJ Clayton advances to today’s 100 finals, finishing 6th in prelims (10.47). Senior Luke Gerzon (10.65) caps off an incredible 4 years, including breaking the school record in the 100 earlier this season!!
We were pumped last week when @RhodesLynxTFXC Jared Briant ran a personal best of 9:02.71 in the SC to qualify for this weekend’s national championships….but it would take every bit of yesterday’s 7 sec PR (8:55.94) to advance to tomorrow’s final. Good luck Jared! Roll Lynx!!
Congrats to Rachel Sullivan who capped off a remarkable career today in the HJ, which includes 3 NCAA Championship appearances and multiple All-Conference performances in the jumps and hurdles.
Rhodes’ TJ Clayton, Rachel Sullivan, Luke Gerzon, & Jared Briant looking sharp at tonight’s athletes banquet. DIII Nationals action starts tomorrow in Rochester, NY with Sullivan in the HJ and Briant in steeplechase prelims. Gerzon and Clayton run 100 prelims on Friday. Go Lynx!!
Congrats to Jared Briant, qualifying for his 3rd NCAA Meet in the SC (9:02.71). I’m with former Rhodes assistant Dan Schofer, now crushing it as head coach at Macalester. Grasshopper Dan with sophomore Reece McKee who ran a huge PR of 9:18.91.
School records continue to fall at WashU as senior Jared Briant sets a new school record in the 5000 m run in 14:31.61. The previous record of 14:35.72 was held by Rhodes great Spencer Fields. Jared is flanked by Coach Dsida and former teammate and XC All Am.Toler Freyaldenhoven
Feeling fast today hanging out with these two speed demons at Wash U Invite. Luke Gerzon set a new school record in the 100 (10.47). Not to be upstaged, teammate TJ Clayton set his own school record in the 200 (21.46)! Proud day for Lynx Track & Field.
Congrats to Rachel Sullivan on her 15th place finish (1.56m) in the high jump at DIII Nationals in Birmingham. Already looking forward to outdoors!! 🏃♀️💪
