Coaching young people in soccer is like planting seeds and watching them turn into a jungle.
The sense of achievement grows as you see each player thrive and the whole team flourish.
Practice develops competence which breeds confidence.
If you want to be more confident in games, you need to develop more competence. How do you do that? Practice.
When you reach that level of competence, you’ll know. It doesn’t have to be world class competence, just the level where you feel so confident that you could go out and play a game or join in with virtually anyone and know that you can hold your own.
It’s the feeling of knowing you can control EVERY ball that comes to you. There’s no nervousness or worry. No tension. Just relaxation and a smile, knowing you can control the ball.
That feeling is priceless.
If you’re struggling with confidence, go out and practice more on your own. Your competence will go up and more confidence will follow. Guaranteed.
@LethalSoccer My limit is 8 goals if you are scoring 8 goals on an opponent you are not getting better at that point work on passing the ball movement etc.
@LethalSoccer We don’t have academies that can pair up to the top clubs let alone the top nations in football. Playing youth club in Europe means you play for a “professional” teams academy here in the U.S you may play for a “Club” which could be a division two team anywhere.
