BRAND NEW SHOW LAUNCHING
@johncrossmirror & I each week will be talking all things Arsenal on “Seeing Red” our brand new show focused on The Gunners.
Check out our primer episode below for a taste of what’s to come.
Houston coach Kelvin Sampson on state of the game: "We're still in an educational institution, but there is nothing educational about college basketball right now. It's all transactional. And we all put our heads in the sand." Sampson, Tom Izzo + John Calipari are speaking out."
Thank you @NIUCoachHammock for saying it out loud! The NCAA has let the toothpaste out of the tube and I fear that we've lost the plot. We must hold these young people accountable to actually getting an education.
@DarrenArsenal1 Fully understand that renewals are very high. But the club waited so late this year to finally drop the news. They would have clearly known that someone with as high a number as mine wasn't going to make it this year. Made the news that much more disappointing.
@DarrenArsenal1 Been in touch many times over the summer and was told they would have an answer "next week" on multiple occasions. The bad news finally came last week.
Club feeling the angst of those on the Club Level waiting list who paid 25% fee to join a number of years ago and still showing very little movement.
Nothing the club can do, with the unprecedented renewal rates of season tickets. Unlikely to change
I used to tell the college athletes I coached:
“This isn’t just about running. I’m preparing you for life.”
Most didn’t believe me at the time.
But a decade later, they all do now.
Because what you learn on the track shows up everywhere.
Running & Sport explains life.

Right, to all my loyal Inside Arsenal podcast subscribers and listeners.
I've basically had a nightmare and in my tiredness this morning in Madrid, while trying to delete today's episode because I had uploaded the wrong audio, I managed to delete the actual Inside Arsenal show itself from my podcast platform (Yes, I am that stupid).
To cut a long story short, it basically no longer exists and so the show you are subscribed to on your podcast platforms will not update anymore. It is basically useless. I can't upload any new episodes to it.
I have had to create a brand new show, still under the Inside Arsenal name, and start all over again, much to my complete dismay and frustration having worked so hard to build the original one up over the last few years.
So, if you want to keep getting my daily shows delivered to you via podcast, you will need to subscribe/follow the new one. This is where the episodes will now be available from this point on. The links are below.
I'm so sorry for the mess this has caused and the inconvenience. I hope you do come over and follow/subscribe the new show so I can continue to keep you updated (and hopefully entertained) on all things Arsenal. Thanks (and sorry for the long post).

Found this Facebook post from Terry Pettit pretty interesting. In particular, the timing of the announcement also hit me in a weird way, and then the presser itself seemed to leave a lot of people cold.
🤬College Sports can be so ruthless. Former @saintjosephs 🏀 HC @PhilMartelli on #TheHowardEskinShow tells how after he spent 34 years working for this school, that the disrespectful, and sloppy way he was fired in March of 2019 still eats away at him. #NCAA
This video just resurfaced on the tl. If you ever wonder what happen to the culture of St Joes basketball, look no further then this. Hawk Hill is still recovering from this. So poorly handled.
"I've never been one that said I don't believe student-athletes shouldn't be paid. But the way it is now is ridiculous. It's utterly ridiculous"
Steve Alford was asked if there's anything he & his staff need to do to help navigate this new landscape of college basketball & here was his response. It's long but worth a listen 👇
