@niehaus_carl This conversation is putting union apparatchiks against workers and it is further crippling the Union Movement and I am a committed Unionist myself.
Revisit this reply. It's highly reactionary.
@niehaus_carl So Trade Unions must be activated to stand against March and March who's stated aims are to hold government responsible with regards to illegal immigration. All respect Oom Carl, I appreciate you for your convictions but this is quite reactionary.
@niehaus_carl The government, the neoliberal government of Ramaphosa has promise to deal with protesters on the 30th. This formation of the Left you speak of sides with the neoliberal government of Ramaphosa?
@niehaus_carl I stand on the Left Oom Carl but I have a problem or two. These questions encapsulate it: the site of struggle against capital and it's abuses must be in SA alone? Do we realistically have the resources to do that? What criteria determines which Africans come to SA? Why?
@KhandaniM@sandileswana ..to many African governments failures. We are grappling with our own failures and it is extremely unfair to expound the issue with talks and a global distortion (if not propaganda) of xenophobia.
We don't even have flushing toilets in some schools for goodness sake!
@KhandaniM@sandileswana ..a failure of governance from the SA government and the many other governments across the continent. I leave out the Pakistan issue because the level of cooperation seems to point out an added dimension to this conversation.
In brief. We are not the political solution...
@KhandaniM@sandileswana Considered perspectives to one's characterized by shame and silence. The extent of the migrant situation, as showed by the DBN issue shows that the migration issue is bigger than initially thought - this means these people, our people from Malawi largely have been living in....
@KhandaniM@sandileswana@sandileswana I take your view as part of the extended conversation with regards to immigration both illegal/legal and my response was in large part to Babe Msibi's response. I cannot answer your question without the broader conversation. Let me try to, within Twitters...
@KhandaniM Not too long ago, certain African states spoke about SAs "big brother" attitude towards the rest of the continent. We must not impose on our African Sisters and Brothers 😉 even though I understand the point from which you come.
Everything done in this country is a performance for the global community. while people are suffering. Why isn't that community outraged by the fact that we have the highest youth unemployment in the world? Screw that global community.

#Iran drew with Belgium at the #2026WorldCup, taking their points tally to 2 and increasing their chances of advancing from the group.
Iran are the team that has faced the most injustice at this World Cup. Their players dealt with visa problems for a long time and were questioned upon entering the United States. Because the team is not allowed to stay in the US, they are based in Mexico and are only permitted to enter the country on matchdays.
And it does not end there. They are required to leave the United States just a few hours after the final whistle.
