The JV Oskaloosa Bears Baseball team went 1-2 today in the Sabetha JV Round-Robin. The Bears defeated Sabetha and lost to Nemaha Central/ Hiawatha. The Bears Varsity will open Thursday at home vs. Horton.
The OJHS Boys defeated Everest 48-23 and will play in the NEKL Tournament Championship. The Bears will play Valley Falls at 11:30 am Saturday at Valley Falls. A big shout out to Allison King and Holly Thatcher in repeating as 1A-4A state wrestling champions. Go Bears!!!

Mr. John Blazek, NCAA basketball offical/administrator, visited Coach Stott's officiating class today at Oskaloosa HS. Mr. Blazek spoke to the students about the opportuinities available/personal qualities needed to be a successful official.

I had the pleasure of attending the Lyon County Tournament. What a great atmosphere/venue to play high school basketball. I watched some great basketball/had the pleasure to speak to some iconic coaches. "Bucket List" trip for any high school basketball fan.

We had 6 of our student officials get experience tonight working 3 man crews. They officiated a C Team round robin between Oskaloosa, JCN, and McLouth. A big thank you to McLouth and JCN for their participation.
