@NWHPreps@JoeAguilar64@CLSBaseball Love the idea of high school "athletes"-being a good thing- crazy it became so sport specific. Cross train, be a kid, LOVE competing- hugely impactful 4 years of life. Deep playoff runs in any sport are memories. Top athletes will rise to the top in what's meant to happen. #FVC
How you do the little things means so much....love spotting the player in random sports (baseball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, etc,) that treats every moment of a game, match, practice as if it all 100% matters. There should be no off switch for standards.
Went to a HS game yesterday. Had a D1 coach come meet me there to watch a kid.
During the game, the team’s catcher would sprint to his position every inning.
He’s an underclassman, the D1 coach wasn’t there for him, he is now on that coaches radar.
Some things preached at every level -
▪️sprint to your spot between innings
▪️show off your arm in between innings
▪️serious throws in the INF/OF and as a catcher
You can be 0-3 and still make an impression
@AnthonyEdge15@BradleyBaseball@BradleyBraves@hittingmental Stay focused on your goals. The right place is going to get you at your best now.- I bet that fire has truly been ignited. A school will be getting an outstanding young man and absolute competitor.
.@HDJTrack senior @MattScardina starred on the football team and now is excelling as a first-year sprinter in track. He was named Athlete of the Meet after winning the 100, 200 and 400 dashes in the McHenry County Meet last week.
