One thing I've learned covering high school sports in 2026:

The people who make banners acknowledging milestones are probably living well right now.

@Stalbertsprtfan @CoachWoods Think my kids might have gone to SA had we known about this walk to Pizza King Tradition 😁

[Coach Tiarks @CoachTiarks]

For the record I’d rank AG #1 in the SWI A/1A/2A poll if we included small school SE Nebraska teams.

Friday night was a clinic in how to tackle & run Scissors Trap.

Refs prolly have Tennis Elbow from the 23 flags they threw 😳🙄

My story from Auburn, where @AGBluejayFball held on behind another great night from Grayson Nolan. #nebpreps

In Galena, Illinois for the weekend with the wife for our 25th Anniversary.

If you must & we all do, this place isn’t half bad. Log Cabin Steakhouse is the goods.

On the flip side boys take heart, CFB Season is 4 weeks away. Think I cover my first game of the year for @KMASports in 3.

Hopefully this weekend in Galena is good for offsetting 7 straight months of CFB & CBB!

[Niles Paul @NilesP_]

A lot of high school football players n Nebraska don’t understand how important track is to their overall development as an athlete. Especially if you’re a skill position player

[Coach Tiarks @CoachTiarks]

Just a thought on a plan to solve a few CFB problems.

Season starts mid August.

Bowl games to start the year.

12 game regular season with 2 bye weeks.

16 Team Playoff.

Playoff Teams selected prior to Conference Championship Weekend

Natty on Jan 1st like the old days.
