Big Big Love to LEWISTON HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER TEAM, who won the state championship over the weekend. Just 17 days after the Maine City suffered the unthinkable, a gunman killing 18 people.

According to NPR, this is the Blue Devils' fourth championship in the last decade, with the soccer team's title run linked to Lewiston becoming home to Somali refugees in the early 2000s.

The first title came in 2015, and represented "the successful melding of an influx of young Africans into a mill town with deeply French-Canadian roots and a love for hockey." The story of the program's rise even inspired a book, Amy Bass' "One Goal".

Football as a means of healing, joy, unity & welcome diversion. All at a time when it's needed most. 💙
