Director of Athletics @TheWalkerSchool Former AD @GwayAthletics & @GWU_MBK Director of Ops & @GoPetrelsMBBall Assistant Coach. Oglethorpe Hall of Fame ☘️
Very excited to share some personal news!
I’ll be joining The Walker School next year to be their next Athletic Director.
Thankful for my 9 years at Galloway and honored to have led our program to new heights!
Thrilled for the next chapter and to be a Wolverine!
@_CoachShep_ Was legit the best shooter in GA as an 8th or 9th grader. Not to mention his high IQ, natural feel for the game and change of pace. Christian has been elite for a loooong time.
Former NFL Linebacker Will Compton was PREACHING in this segment with @NDFootball about Creating Evidence. A must watch regardless of title, age, or industry:
👮♂️ You start with BELIEF, you stand on EVIDENCE. Facts don't care about feelings. When you get there, nobody cares HOW you got there, they care about how you can HELP.
👨⚖️ One Rep ➡️ One Day ➡️ One Week ➡️ One Game ➡️ One Year. At the end of the year, you're graded and judged by the evidence of your WORK. Evidence doesn't just arrive, it's acquired and accumulated everyday. It’s never one moment, it’s the accumulation of all of them.
🏷️ Let Proof Override Labels. Creating Evidence isn't about running from the truth, it's about creating so much proof that past labels become irrelevant.
🧵 Everything matters. Every rep has meaning. Even when you can't see it. Too tired, too emotional, too worn out to see or hear it, but it still means something. So you must TIE meaning to it. The smallest action either adds to your case or subtracts from it, tie purpose to all of it.
🖋️ Facts are permanent, but they do not define who you are, or who you have to be in the future. The truth is the starting point, not the ceiling. Face it, use it, and build forward, the obstacle is the way.
Goodbye, friends, from Augusta Georgia!
As a farewell, we’re giving away one of the limited edition Peach Reserve TOUR-ISSUE Staff Bags.
To win: Just REPOST!
I’ll never forgive #Indiana for keeping Mike Woodson for one more year… And not hiring a current proven college winner in #DustyMay. Ultimate bag fumble on their part, one they will feel for years. To make matters worse, he’s taking a rival to the championship game
KYP! I know my players got so tired of shell drill and 3 line closeouts. I found those drills simple enough to work on what we needed defensively to stay sharp while incorporating personnel into the mix.
Defensive drill involving the staff here.
Ben McCollum:
“As we defend, think about who you’re guarding here.”
Imagine this is a know your personnel (“KYP” -@adaniels33) thing. Shell drill following. Focus on active hands and grabbing a board.
Sport Science is long gone, but an enterprising YouTuber should do a science experiment on if the overinflated ball really did cause that Tanner shot to rattle out. It’s worth finding out!
@Fox_Matt@BobbyPfor3 For sure, both teams have to adjust…
I don’t think there’s a motive. But new balls are hard and take time to be broken in. I’ll send you videos of players talking about it. There’s starting to be more awareness about the balls.
My goodness, that Nebraska v Vandy game was incredible. Such great bball by both teams. It was blow for blow the last 8 minutes and it felt like every possession was going to completely change the game.
Maybe if the ball wasn’t over-inflated that last shot goes in?!?
@Fox_Matt@BobbyPfor3 Oh boy, you’re missing out on this. It’s been bad for years. They bust out brand new balls that are hard and over inflated.
Did you see the Nebraska guy dribble over his head and then double dribble on the same play. That just doesn’t happen except for when the ball is juiced
Utah State offense is a thing of beauty. Well balanced with good player and ball movement, great actions, concepts and execution.
Coaching masterclass. Love to see it! #MarchMadness@USUBasketball
Heck of a job by @_CoachWest_ at @DarlingtonHoops
11-13 in his first season and has steadily built that program up to one of the more consistent private school programs in the state of GA. Culminated with a 30-2 record and the schools first state championship.
Congrats!
