Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.
Talking about gaslighting at its finest. Create the problem, then “solve” the problem, and then congratulate yourself. We are worse off now then in March!
@BrittanyCarper I agree the students wouldn’t care, but that’s a big ask of an athletics department, staffing, sports med, communications, house keeping, ticketing, etc…. Hard to do during a crossover time with spring sports beginning. It takes a lot to host properly.
@joelhegeman In my experience even talking with the seniors early in the season about the plan on senior day, and again closer to the day didn’t resolve the issue of them feeling they were owed something for “being a senior”.
Senior day is my least favorite part of coaching. The expectation that all of a sudden things would change, because of being a senior. It kills a culture feeling that something is owed to you just because you are graduating. It becomes all about them.

@joelhegeman My counter argument would be that you are saying to the rest of the team, for that game, what you earned is trumped by a person that is a senior. Life doesn’t work that way.
The coaching staff could have articulated that to the players, or they may not have.
Charles Barkley gives 3 ideas on how to fix tanking:
• Can’t raise ticket prices if you’re below .500
• Every lottery team gets ONE ping pong ball
• Remove pick protections in trades

The @NFL should apologize to the American people for flooding the Super Bowl with foreign flags. Totally disgraceful.
There’s nothing American about any of this.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list:
A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid.
This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border.
The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.
