Charlotte was picked to finish dead last out of 13 teams in the American.

Aaron Fearne and the 49ers are tied with Tulsa for first in the league at 7-2.

Fearne is from Australia and took over on an interim basis at first after Ron Sanchez left for Virginia in the summer of 2023.

Ben Bradford has taken a huge jump from freshman season and Fearne and his staff did great job in the portal: Dezayne Mingo (Marshall), Anton Bonke (Providence) and Damoni Harrison (Southern Indiana) have all played well.
