Oct 4, 1824-The Constitution of 1824 was adopted
This was Mexico's first Constitution after winning independence from Spain and created a strong local/state government with a weak central/federal government- something the Texans would later fight for.

As we continue to take the community’s concerns into account, this project has been expedited with the intent for completion prior to Thanksgiving.
As always, the Alamo remains open for business during this time.
Both curbs in front of the Alamo will be fenced off simultaneously in order to complete the curb grading as quickly as possible.
It remains our intent to continue to provide updates as soon as possible to the community prior to the start of construction.
Starting today, Monday, October 7, construction efforts will begin to eliminate the curbs currently in front of the Church, where the former road once ran. We will grade, or slope, the curb to promote accessibility and reduce tripping hazards.
Welcome back everyone for our 2019-20 school year!!
This is our 1st full week of regular classes. Please be sure to bring your spiral notebook each day.
