Dear Dell, @Dell
Across Nigeria, countless young people are being held back, not by a lack of talent, passion, or determination, but by the absence of a basic tool: a laptop. In a world driven by innovation and technology, this single gap is quietly limiting dreams, growth, and opportunities.
Nigerian youth are incredibly resilient and gifted. Many have tried to adapt by relying solely on their mobile phones to learn, create, and compete globally. Sadly, for many others, even that option is out of reach, leaving them feeling helpless and forgotten. The result is a generation struggling to meet global demands, not because they lack ability, but because they lack access.
Your brand has consistently shown a commitment to empowering young people and contributing meaningfully to global development. That is why we are reaching out with hope. This challenge is no longer just a local concern, it is becoming a wider African and global issue that demands urgent attention.
We humbly ask that you consider intervening. Your support could help save thousands of young lives from being rendered redundant and incapacitated in a fast-moving digital world. Even refurbished laptops would make a profound difference, opening doors to learning, innovation, and self-reliance.
We believe that with your help, these young minds can thrive, contribute, and shape a better future.
Sincerely,
Thank you for this question Amara @Amara2thelma I will answer it as simply as I can.
For many people, two properly balanced meals with enough water in between is more than enough. Most people eat when the last meal they ate hasn’t even digested.
If we’re being honest, most healthy adults don’t need to be eating three heavy meals every single day. All they do is satisfy their long throat craving.
From a medical point of view, the human digestive system is not designed to be working every minute of the day. It needs rest.
When you give your digestive system long stretches without food, you allow:
• better insulin sensitivity
• improved fat metabolism
• reduced inflammation
• better gut repair
• and overall hormonal balance
This is why many fasting approaches (including medically backed intermittent fasting) emphasise spacing out meals so the body is either feeding or fasting, not constantly doing both.
And if you look at human history before we had fridges, supermarkets, and “snack culture” most adults essentially ate twice a day.
Even the Bible quietly echoes this pattern.
Whenever God provided food supernaturally, it followed a twice-a-day pattern:
• Manna in the wilderness: morning and evening
• Elijah in the wilderness: ravens fed him morning and evening
These weren’t snacks. They were meals. It was enough to sustain strength, clarity, and purpose for their missions.
Sometimes wisdom hides inside patterns we overlook.
But before you go and prescribe this to yourself there’s a medical balance to consider:
Two meals a day works well only if:
• your meals are nutrient-dense
• you aren’t overloading sugar
• you are drinking adequate water
• your lifestyle (sleep, stress, activity) is balanced
Medically speaking, there are people that should not eat only twice a day:
• Pregnant women and Breastfeeding mothers
• Athletes and Sports people
• People with diabetes (especially on insulin or sulfonylureas)
• People with ulcers or chronic gastritis
• Underweight adults
• People recovering from illness, surgery or severe infection
• Anyone with a medical condition requiring frequent small meals
These people need more frequent caloric intake for safety and healing.
But for a healthy adult with no underlying condition, two balanced meals a day is safe, sustainable, and beneficial as long as the meals are of good quality and you allow your gut to truly rest in between.
If your lifestyle demands more meals, eat more. If two works for your body, embrace it.
Your body is not a train station; food doesn’t need to arrive every hour. The key is balance, intention, and giving your gut the respect it deserves.
