My daughter Avery is wrapping up her internship at Sky Ranch Camps in Van, TX and is beginning the search for her next opportunity. She graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2025, where she played beach volleyball and worked in the Sports Information Department.
I’m reaching out to my coaching circle and friends in athletics. If you know of any openings or connections, we would truly appreciate it.
Please feel free to message me or share this post. Thank you all for supporting young people chasing their calling.

She has a heart for kids, athletics, mentoring, and team culture, and would love to find a role connected to college athletics, sports information, camps, student life, or really anything where she can invest in young people through sports.

One of the most important traits of a leader is that they empower their people.
But, the best leaders understand that empowerment is not about giving answers faster.
It's about developing people who can think clearly...
long after you're not in the room.
FIX SYSTEMS, NOT PEOPLE
Most leaders default to “Who messed up?” GOTCHA mode is the easy way out
High performing leaders ask What in the system allowed this to happen?
The best leaders are open to redesigning the system, not the person
"Culture is not what you put in the mission statement or at the top of your web page. It is what you tolerate on a Tuesday afternoon. Every unaddressed behavior becomes the real policy."

It’s amazing how many people have the work ethic of an average person and then think they deserve a promotion or something special to happen to them. There’s not much demand for an experienced average guy. If you want to be great, be great every day, in every way.
