Overrated for culture - Meetings, posters, norms, players voting on values/rules.
Underrated for culture - have a few non-negotiables you'll lose your stuff over and be maniacal about holding people accountable.
My mom died 9 years ago today.
@CoachBradBigler called me and encouraged me to “Be about the things that she was about - that’s how you carry on her legacy.”
She did hard things. So today, I did something hard. She would’ve been 62, so I did 62 miles on the bike.
Thankful for the lessons she taught me. I miss her.
If you have lost someone the anniversary of their death can be a difficult day. For nine years, I have chosen to do something on this day to honor my mom. I would encourage you to do the same.
Youth sports are a mess. Not because of the kids—but because of the adults.
The loudest voices are often the ones who know the least.
And the people who actually try to do it right?
They’re the ones who get criticized the most.
It’s backwards. It’s bonkers. And it’s burning good people out.

I am beyond excited to finally share the official trailer for “BASKETBALL STATE”. A documentary about the history and rise of Minnesota basketball. ❄️🏀❤️
Thank you @PGHMinnesota for the opportunity to compete this weekend along with the recognition. Great event with great competition. @GMacHoops@tonyragtime76 and Ally McGinnis appreciate your commitment to women’s basketball. @mikemillsnc
“Don’t get bored with the boring!”

Anthony Edwards took the opportunity to give huge props to Jaden McDaniels: I do want to just shout out Jaden McDaniels before I get outta here. He’s been phenomenal this whole playoff run and this series in particular. I think he’s like a +51 or something and only probably had 5 points, took 3 shots, in all 2 games. Don’t complain, keep guarding, keep picking up full court, and we wouldn’t be the team that we are today and the team that we was in the regular season…and hopefully we can keep him out there and he keeps playing like that man, because he’s the X-Factor of the team and everything he brings, we thank him so much.
PLAYERS: Making excuses in the off-season about why you aren't in the gym or at training sessions will lead to making excuses during your season as to why you are on the bench.
Being a Head Coach is HARD Work.
Many parents do not understand the work it takes.
I have talked to MANY coaches over my career.

CONDITIONING will ALWAYS be most important in basketball!💯🏀🧠🤷🏽♂️
Don’t miss out on your opportunity because you didn’t take CONDITIONING seriously…😏
