Softness is:
Talking back
Skipping reps
Failing classes
Showing up late
Giving 50% effort
Toughness is:
Being early
Going full speed
Doing extra reps
Biting your tongue
Being on the honor roll
Tough people dominate soft people in sports and in life.
As the fall semester gets started in the coming weeks understand that it’s easy for teachers to fail someone who doesn’t care.
It’s difficult for teachers not to give an A or B to students who:
1) Show up on time
2) Are engaged
3) Put forth effort
4) Are kind and respectful
5) Communicate
6) Ask for help
7) Complete all assignments
Don’t be the student who asks their teacher the week before grades are due, “What can I do to improve my grade?”
Be the student who takes control early and stays locked in for the entire semester.
Extremely blessed to announce my commitment to ETBU! Big thanks to all family, friends, and coaches that have helped make this possible. @Loudermilk_@HarletonB@bomar19@coach_K_Little
It’s ok to struggle. Struggles change you. Everyone bottoms out, gets depressed, beat down. Everyone cracks. Everyone has doubts, feels weak, comes to the end of their rope. Everyone thinks maybe this isn’t the path for me, but the strong keep fighting. Struggles become strength!
Congratulations to Coach Gary Parrish
