@Tj_Ronin Beck is god awful. I’ll say what people won’t say cause this offense will look the same in a week. I hope is doesn’t but I don’t have faith in his system.
@bigku82@spartymjc Yeah he could give shits less about Detroit teams he blows the NY teams daily 🤣😂🤣😂 he cares about Detroit because they pay his checks.
@bigku82 I stopped listening to that show after Terry Foster left from his stroke.
It's unbearable. Terry would at least keep Mike in line. Rico is just a Temu Mike Valenti.
Ben Johnson explains how you build a physically tough team without just screaming at players to be tougher, and says it starts with the character of the players
“It’s one thing to say that and want that. How do you get that done in practice and leading up to games?”
“Yeah. Well, I think if you ask some of our players, they they would tell you that it was one of the more challenging training camps that they’ve they’ve gone through. And I give them a lot of credit because they trusted this coaching staff. And it’s their desire to be great. It’s their desire to win.”
“They they want to they want to be really good at their positions. They want to be really good as a team. And so the buy-in has been there. They they’ve trusted us every step of the way. I think we’ve been very smart with how we’ve approached it. we’ve explained the why to them on everything that we do, which is so critical these days.”
“And like I said before, I think when you have guys like Kevin Bard and Grady Jarrett and Joe Tuni, guys that have won at a high level, they played meaningful games in the playoffs, they’ve been to Super Bowls, when you have guys like that, it just helps it helps forge that direction and and brings the locker room with us, you know, and I can’t give those guys enough credit.”
“Was that a conscious effort on you guys part to get a couple of veteran guys like that and bring them in those those big-time leaders?”
“Yeah, I mean, well, it starts there all the all three of those guys I mentioned, they’re phenomenal football players and even though they’re getting up there in years a little bit, they still are and they they make a meaningful impact on game day. But you’re right, I think their leaders
Agreed and all those who think QB is the issue and that Carr will fix this mess are badly mistaken. This OC is officially on the HOT SEAT. 3 man routes vs 5 at this level is crazy.
This is the problem with coaching from the couch. You see half the screen and yell at the TV to throw the ball or step up into the pocket vs a Spy, while on every play, Michigan’s in 7-man pass protection blocking 4-5 at most.
Living in 11T & 12T is limiting yourself to 3-on-6 in the passing game. Tight Ends exist for a reason.
Has QB play been great? No. Neither has OL, TE, WR, RB, etc. This is not a player problem.
Michigan has much bigger offensive problems that a QB change coming out of the bye won't fix. The playcalling is trying too hard to be Utah with a team that clearly isn't that. Banged-up OL can't block anyone right now; you're running east-west with north-south guys.
