Asst. Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator (DBโs) ๐ฆฌAsst. Athletic Director (Media)๐ฆฌArkansas Baptist College (NAIA) @ABC_Football #HBCU / Arkadelphia, AR Native
My coaching experiences have revealed that you often learn more from losses than in victories if you understand and learn what was responsible for the defeat.
Coach Bill Curry once told me before a game he was broadcasting for ESPN, "Coach, it's not how you win it...it's often how you lost it."
I have never forgotten that quote. It resonates in my daily life as well as we continue to attempt to raise Godly men through the sport of football at Arkansas Baptist College.
This Buffalo Football team are two possessions from being 4-0 in conference competition. We have had our chances to win in the fourth quarter, and that within itself speaks to how far the program has come.
Our goal is to build a NAIA National Contender. We will be hunting talent near and far to assist the football program in becoming a house hold name on the national NAIA scene moving forward.
Remind high school student-athlete who are balling ๐...that Coach Ashdone Bailey and the coaching staff will be calling ๐.
The Stampede ๐๐๐๐ is coming.๐๐ปโ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ
After defeating Hendrix on the road last week, the Baby Buffs return home this evening in an attempt to remain undefeated and improve to 3-0 ๐ฏโ๏ธ
The goal is to win each play while trusting the process. Stay tuned for the outcome...we desire victory but learning to win and not beat ourselves is the life lesson we are teaching. It's difficult to win, when you are doing things that will result in defeat.
Baby Buff Stampede ๐๐๐๐๐ will arrive at 6 pm.
I'm so proud of these young men...they get me hyped. Over the last six weeks they have endured the hardships and responsibilities that come with being student-athletes. They have been like energizer bunnies, they keep coming and coming and coming.
I love the development that I have witnessed since the Baby Buffs arrival to campus. Our Football Program is about student engagement and retention. The enrollment of Black males at post-secondary institutions in America is declining.
We are trying to hype them up with educational access with opportunities that can lead to their success. Very few, if any will play professional football; however, most all will become fathers, husbands, employers or employees.
Question for thought...Where would these young men be if ABC had not extended these educational opportunities to the baby ballers?

Hey, if you're free Saturday afternoon at 2 pm, come out and support your Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes football team and the Stampede of the Sound Marching Band at Quigley Stadium on the campus of Little Rock Central.
The Buffaloes ๐ are currently 2-1 in conference competition and will face a tough Texas Wesleyan football team. The Marching Band is undefeated and continues to exceed all performance expectations in year one.
On Sunday evening (6 pm), the Baby Buffs football squad will attempt to improve to 3-0 on the season. They have been balling...and for that reason, Coach Hill is calling on your support of these young men.

College faced extreme challenges suggesting that its future as it has been known and recognized since 1884 was facing extinction.
God had other plans!
Fast forward to the fall 2026 semester.
In the midst of numerous difficulties and doubters, God has intervened and opened the Red Sea ๐ at 1600 Martin Luther King Drive.
As ABC continues to re-imagine itself, it is imperative our institution remains steadfast to its original mission of serving those who may not have access to post-secondary and extracurricular opportunities. The goal has always been to develop the potential within the students who desire to empower their lives with the educational opportunities made possible by our ancestors.
Saturday night, was a milestone for the ABC on many fronts. First of all, under the direction of Maestro Cedric Todd, the Buffalo Band, now known as the Stampede of Sound, has in six months ascended to new heights never experienced in the College's history. You need to hear them if you haven't heard them. They are the truth ๐ฏโ๏ธ
There's more!
After trailing 9-3 against perennial NAIA HBCU football Powerhouse Langston University, the relentless defense stood strong giving up no touchdowns. In the second half, the Buffaloes offense got on track and launched a dominant stampede attack to score 21 points.
This was the first ever win over the Lions...the biggest in the college's history. This victory can potentially establish the ground work for ABC's athletics program to ascend as a national contender in NAIA competitive sports.
Last year, the men's basketball program earned a bid to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament and the track team won the 400 meter relay and other medals medals at the NAIA National Championship Track Meet.
In the spring of 2025, nobody would have ever envisioned what was witnessed last Saturday night at Quigley Stadium. It was the largest home crowd to ever gather in the ABC community to support Buffaloe nation.
One former player noted the fan support and how proud he was of the progressed of the college and football program.
I remarked in two short words: "GOD DID"!
