The weight room is the most influential room in a school.
It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom.
A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.
The virtue signaling camp that thinks it’s uncool for coaches to study, read, and keep learning misses the point entirely. Basics are king, but refusing to evolve is usually just a crutch for laziness in your own development

@JustinGoffBurch People don’t understand there there is a difference in a PE teacher who teaches S&C and a S&C coach who teaches PE… there are good and bad on both sides but there is a distinct difference
@JustinGoffBurch as some good message for the hiring of qualified S&C professionals. I wouldn’t let a dentist perform ACL surgery on me. Qualified professionals know when/how to gain education and how to stay in their scope of practice.
Your PE licensure isn't a strength coach credential, because 75% of PE teachers serving in strength roles average a 45% score on a validated S&C knowledge assessment.
That's not an opinion. That's Kern et al., 2024.
:42sec of me doing ILC’s with an angled pad. This was part of my accessory work, paired with 100 reps of Leg Press @65% of my Max BS. Coaching point on GHD and ILC is foot pressure. It’s all dependent on what you want to emphasis. Enjoy! @roguefitness#train#strength#lift
