Joe Mazzulla with an inspiring message:
“Too many times it’s all about winning, winning, winning. You have to surrender to the idea that when you’re going after that you’re gonna fail, we failed by not winning, but we stick to the process of being able to do that.”
If the NCAA passes the 5 & 5 eligibility rule, 18 & 19 year old athletes should SERIOUSLY think about NCAA D3 for their first 4 years and then get an advanced degree, on scholarship, at a NCAA D1 with their 5th year!
Do the numbers. See the stats. Plan for 40 years!
Congratulations to C/o ‘24 alum & current Oglethorpe guard Brooke Herdman on finishing her first weekend as a head coach as a champion in the National Hoop Series! 🏆
Brooke led her 16U Redline squad to championship in her coaching debut weekend. We are proud of you, Brooke!
A well-deserved moment for these players 👏
Honored to celebrate them at the 2026 Women’s Collegiate All-Star Team presented by the WBCA!

Long after the wins & losses, you'll remember your teammates & coaches; the bus rides & locker room talks. You'll remember how you had each other's backs. You'll remember the relationships & how you leaned on each other. And especially how fortunate you were to be part of a TEAM!

Reality of college recruiting:
D1: ~2%
D2: ~2%
NAIA: ~3%
D3: ~3%
Juco: ~7%
It is a privilege to get the opportunity to play college sports at ANY level.
Take your recruitment seriously.
Want to win close games in March? Be boring.
- play off two feet in the paint
- throw on-target passes
- hit free throws
- take on balance, great shots
- finish around the rim
- secure rebounds with two hands
- don’t gamble on defense
Boring is cool. Boring wins.
