Seattle Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald - Game Plan vs Ohio State (2021) & Situational Play Calls

- In order to beat great offenses like that, you can't let them throw the ball over your head. You got to make them earn it. And then you have to spend a lot of time on red zone & 3rd down."

- "On 3rd down that game, I think we played them ok (8/18) but we lost some critical 4th downs (3/4), that was a lesson learned."

- "If you go into that game and you say if we're going to win this game, we're going to have to win this way... Well in order to do that we're going to have to survive some long drives & if we're going to win at the end, they're going to be in some 4th & medium situations. Let's make sure we have a great menu going in, stuff that we really like."

- "So that was a lesson learned as a play caller. Play the game out like that, if you're going to win & make sure you have those situations covered. So when those things pop up, the game is going the way you expected/hoped, that you're ready to roll."

TEAMS TO KNOW 2026: Bolingbrook (IL)

Bolingbrook was inches away from the Illinois 8A semifinals last season, finishing 9-3, winning the conference, and falling by one point in the quarterfinals.

Now the Raiders enter 2026 with high expectations and a young but loaded roster.

QB Tyson Ward (@3_Tysonward) after producing through the air and on the ground, RB TJ Lewis (@52TjD1) is back after a huge season, 4⭐️ Darieon Prescott (@Cfkprescott) gives Bolingbrook one of the top defensive prospects in the country, and Antoine Norfleet (@AntoineN52541) helps lead a strong returning defense.

Add in rising RB Jordan Donald (@CFK_UNO1) and solid new pieces up front, and Bolingbrook has the talent to be right in the Illinois 8A championship conversation.
