Typical clinic day now includes a 2-year-old who only has 5 words, an 8-year-old with new-onset obesity, and a preschool-age child with no social skills from being home bound. A disastrous avalanche of child health probs of our own making—not “from the pandemic.” @AmerAcadPeds

@FurnessColin@Jim75209082 There’s no money to be made in defending kids’ access to in-person school. Unions pay consulting fees to academics/MDs for opinions to close schools. Full disclosure on such consulting fees is only ethically so media and the public can assess the merits of “expert” opinions.
If I've earned your trust, read on.
Children desperately need support. We have to sacrifice what we can to serve them.
NO to closing schools, camps, childcare etc.
High quality supports for kids are essential from a medical, social services, economics perspective and more.
@imgrund @cristina_CP24 You’re spreading misinformation. Dr Golden sees her patients exclusively in person. What’s the motivation for attacking this physician?
@imgrund You’re spreading misinformation: Dr Golden only sees patients in person. Replacing isolation with test-to-stay change many child-focused advocates want. Great to see that you too support this move.
