Happy Valentine's Day! And what better way to submit than with a brand spankin' new issue of Coastal Shelf! We're live with Issue 6 at https://t.co/mSSkrRFOUf #litmag#poetry#fiction
If anyone submitted to Coastal Shelf and had a piece accepted elsewhere before we got to it, send us a link! We're filling out our "Ones That Got Away" feature with as many links to your awesome published pieces as we can.
Very excited to be publishing our brand spanking new sixth issue by February 15th at latest! More fiction than ever, including multiple stories over 5k words and even a novel excerpt. And you all thought we only liked flash prose.
Coastal Shelf's Second Annual FuPo Poetry Contest (for Funny & Poignant Poems) & Ceiling 250 Contest (for prose under 250 wordsβyes, 250 this year) will be opening for submissions on April 1st & closing May 15th. Bigger prizes. Yes, there will again be a no-fee option. More soon.
@DixonCat It's improving, but the fatigue is one thing that's really stuck around the longest for us both. It is definitely a unique experience. We're making good progress on the new issues, just a little slower than we'd wish it was.
Just a little heads up to our fine readers and writers, Covid hit our main 'office' taking me (Editor in Chief) and our Graphics Guru out of commission for a bit, we're on the mend but it's pushed the winter issue (and responses) back a tiny bit, so it will likely be Early Feb.
"It is Diwali tonight, and on Newark Avenue, / the fire hydrants gush and gush in spite of the firecrackers,"
Check out one of the poems we nominated for Best of the Net this year, "Stagnations" by Neha Mulay from our 4th issue https://t.co/lDAEKZYRJP
Would you, or anyone you know like to participate as a reader @ a #litmag? Coastal Shelf has a ton of submissions we're trying to catch up on, & because we give feedback to almost all submissions we need all the help we can get! (Prose, Poetry or Both) https://t.co/hBZ0TjoDcz
Hi all, been crazy busy (many apologies about the delay). Hoping the winter issue and 'Annual' will both be out by early Jan. If you have a submission w/us it is definitely under consideration & we are sending out responses. Thanks for bearing w/ us during these difficult times.
