Over the last few days, many people have shared personal stories about the late Senator Lindsey Graham. I thought I would share one of my own.

You may have seen this clip before.
But these are the full remarks.

In early 2024, when the Left was claiming that requiring proof of citizenship to vote amounted to voter suppression, Senator Graham personally reached out and asked me to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

He believed deeply in the promise of America because he had spent a lifetime serving her.

For reasons I’ll never fully know, he saw something in me and in my message, and he gave me the opportunity to take that message to the United States Senate.

I will always be grateful for his confidence and for the chance to speak on behalf of millions of Americans who believe in a simple principle: every legal vote should be counted, and every illegal vote should not.

Senator Graham also believed deeply in the SAVE America Act.

I can think of no better way to honor his service than by sending that legislation to President Trump’s desk for his signature. It is overwhelmingly supported by the American people, it strengthens confidence in our elections, and it helps secure our Republic for future generations.

Rest in peace, Senator.

Thank you for your service, your leadership, and the opportunity you gave me.

Now to far-left Massachusetts, where the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates met this week to break down an ordinance aimed at further restricting ICE operations on Cape Cod.

One dude spoke up and said what countless others are thinking:

Judy: The Only Dog Officially Registered as a Prisoner of War.

In 1942, as Japanese forces overran the Dutch East Indies, a liver-and-white English Pointer named Judy survived the loss of her ship and was taken prisoner along with the surviving crew. She became the only dog in history to be officially entered on a prisoner-of-war register by the Japanese authorities, complete with her own number: 81A Gloergoer Medan.

Judy had served as mascot aboard the British river gunboat HMS Grasshopper. After the vessel came under attack, she and the crew endured a grueling trek through jungle and across islands before capture. In the POW camps she quickly proved her value. She barked warnings when guards approached, alerted prisoners to snakes and scorpions, and once located the only fresh water on a deserted island after a shipwreck, helping the men survive.

At the Gloergoer camp in Medan, Leading Aircraftman Frank Williams shared his meager rice ration with her. When guards threatened to shoot the dog for growling at them, Williams persuaded the camp commandant, reportedly after plying him with sake, to register Judy as an official prisoner. The commandant signed the papers in exchange for the promise of one of her future puppies. From that point on she was treated, on paper at least, as any other POW.

Judy spent nearly three years in captivity. She boosted morale among the men and helped them endure brutal conditions. After the war she returned to Britain with Frank Williams. In 1946 she was awarded the Dickin Medal, the highest honor for animals in wartime service.

She lived until 1950, outlasting many of the humans she had protected.

Before he died, Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his plane arrived there was a limousine waiting to transport him to his home. As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver .

"You know," he said, "I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine. Would you mind if I drove it for a while?"The driver said, "No problem. Be my guest!"

Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway. A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone. The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo and he got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure.

The young trooper walked up to the driver's door and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.

He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor.

He told the supervisor, "I know we are supposed to enforce the law, but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person."

The supervisor asked, "Is it the governor?" The young trooper said, "No, he's more important than that." The supervisor said, "Oh, so it's the president." The young trooper said, "No, he's even more important than that."

The supervisor finally asked, "Well then, who is it?"The young trooper said...

"I think it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!"
