@Marc_Normandin@RFWill149@baseballpro This is the Cubs 2025 schedule (they are opening vs. the A’s.) Took me a minute to understand what team was “ATH.”
I have nothing additive to tweet about that at bat besides that its exactly why someone is gonna hand him a blank check this winter. The takes, the foul balls to stay alive, the barreling a 95 mph 4 seam up in the zone. All of it. As good as it gets.
I would like to say Thank You to the Oakland A’s fans! 2006 was a magical year and the fans were unreal and accepting of me. You really helped me revitalized my career and I will be forever grateful! Mark Kotsay was right you guys are amazing fans! #ThankYouOakland
It's weird to me that I find this as emotional as I do. I'm not from Oakland at all. Teams move. But man, it just feels like the fans and city were done so dirty and there's so much amazing history being thrown in the trash.
This account will not follow the A’s away from Oakland, which brings it to something of a conclusion (other than perhaps intermittent ballers content).
Always Remember us this way 💚💛
@IvyFutures The problem with the “he hit like Soto for this 6 week period” argument is that’s not how we measure stats. If you’re comparing someone’s peak to another players 162 game average you’re being dishonest. Compare both guys best 6 weeks (and worst) and we’ll see.
@Michael_Cerami Cubs seem to have a team full of guys that are capable of playing at star levels and also capable of disappearing for months at a time. It’s both encouraging and maddening.
