Hey. D2 Content Creators. Now is NOT the fucking time to tell the community "it's over" the fight isn't done, the fight is ongoing, the numbers speak for themselves. Stop MOPING and START FUCKING FIGHTING.
Before tomorrow's Final Update in Destiny 2, I just want to thank all the guardians that have come along the journey. Veteran and New Light. If we crossed paths in matchmaking, thank you for being the blueberry on the fire team. See you in the Tower tomorrow June 9
For over a decade, I lived and breathed Destiny. I gave it everything, and it gave me everything in return.
A community, a career, and memories that will bring me joy my entire life.
I’m sad, but excited to feel the full power of the community on June 9.
Destiny is special.
Here’s what’s gonna happen:
D2 is officially over. Bungie ain’t going nowhere. Sony obviously ain’t either. Marathon isn’t “that” game to carry forward.
Another game, maybe D3 or something like, is coming. We will hear an announcement sooner than later.
It’s only logical.
To add on
-The Restoration of The Tower is incomplete
- The Veil and what its still doing on Neomuna
- Eramis and the Echo going to Reiis
- Poulka's?
- 3rd Darkness Subclass
- Nezarec can't really die. When/How does he return?
- Who's Driving the Leviathan if Calus isn't there?
So let me get this straight:
-We never solved the curse of the Dreaming City
-We never bound the Nine
-We never saw Old Chicago
-We never found Xivu f***ing Arath
That’s it. It just…ends. Cliffhangers and plot holes.
My time in Destiny has been nothing short of life-changing, but nah, I can’t sit well with that. I truly hope that when the June 9th update hits, the @DestinyTheGame@Bungie dev team sits down, either goes live or Vlogs/ViDocs, & gives us an honest retrospective of where we’re at, what they ‘want’ to happen, what they’re pursuing, and where we’re going so far - even if it’s half a decade away.
If we’re hitting closure, give us closure.
🚨Former Destiny 2 senior narrative designer Robert Brookes says a proper Xivu Arath campaign and raid were pitched multiple times for Destiny 2:
"You'd be surprised how many times this was pitched for D2" - https://t.co/Zi49ZUXx1j
