This is why for next year we’re streamlining the rubrics, focusing the free-response Qs on stated periods & giving more essay topic options.

[Trevor Packer @AP_Trevor]

The World History free-response section is not a stable enough target for teachers/students, as you’ll see from low scores on SAQ/DBQ/LEQs.

[Trevor Packer @AP_Trevor]

AP World History multiple-choice: students scored highest on topics prior to 600 CE, lowest on topics post-1910. Reason: too much content?

[Trevor Packer @AP_Trevor]

The 2017 AP World History scores: 5: 8.5%; 4: 20.1%; 3: 27%; 2: 29.5%; 1: 14:9%.

[Trevor Packer @AP_Trevor]

AP World History students scored higher this year than any other year this decade: ~56% earned 3+ vs ~49% in 2011.
