Liquid volume
conversions in math by:
•Identifying smaller units that can fill larger units
•Ordering units within a system from smallest to largest
•Identifying the best unit to measure an item. Today was a messy visual 😊 @CobbMathDept@d_lanilovesmath
Thank you for collaborating with us! Our teachers can find these resources linked in the CTLS PL Community in the Mathematics section. If you were unable to attend, a recording has been posted there too. 😁👍 reach out to @d_lanilovesmath or @emilyecf for more support.
This year’s CTLA math cohort experienced the vertical progression of area and started their Thinking Building Classroom book study. What a fun filled full day of learning! #CTLA@d_lanilovesmath@emilyecf
We had a great 2 days hosting the CCSD math department for two trainings on 360 boards! It was fantastic to see all our 2nd-5th grade teachers in action, participating in walkthroughs and showcasing their students' work at the boards. @CobbMathDept@duewest_es#DWTheBestInTheGame
2nd graders used Cuisenaire rods to explore matter. They counted and added to see how the same blocks filled the same number of spaces no matter how they arranged them. @EastSide_CCSD@cobbscience@CobbMathDept
It’s been great working with middle and high school teachers learn more about 360 math classrooms. I’m happy they got to see it in action and experience it as a learner. Allowing them time to collaboratively plan for it was great next steps. @CobbMathDept
I had the opportunity to attend the Math 360 training at Due West Elementary. I enjoyed visiting classrooms and learning new strategies to implement in my instruction. #lifelonglearner@CobbMathDept

@CobbMathDept took teachers at Daniell MS on a data exploration with their Milestone data. Achievement Level Descriptors are great resources for moving the needle of students’ abilities.
