🇬🇧 THEY TOLD YOU A STORY. 🇬🇧
Colonisers. Slavers. Oppressors. And you were supposed to feel ashamed.
Not for what you done... But for WHO YOU ARE. 🇬🇧
So we tested it. Britain wrote everything down, so we opened the books. 📖
Turns out fewer than 1 man in 10 could vote in the year Britain banned the slave trade. No woman could. Your ancestors could hang for stealing a sheep, get shipped across the world for petty theft, or go down a mine at 8 years old. In Manchester, the average age of death in a labouring family was 17.
They weren't running the slave trade. They were underneath it too.
Which is what makes what happened next worth knowing.
In 1772 an enslaved man named James Somerset walked free from an English court, because English law couldn't hold a slave.
In 1791, 300,000 families just stopped buying slave sugar. No march, no riot, just a decision made at 300,000 kitchen tables.
In 1792, 519 petitions carrying 390,000 names hit Parliament, most signed by people who couldn't vote themselves.
In 1807, Britain banned the trade.
Then the slave owners sent Britain a bill for the 800,000 people they still held. 💷 £20 million. About 40% of the entire government budget at the time.
The Treasury says it wasn't paid off until 2015. So if your family paid British tax before then, they helped buy 800,000 people their freedom.
From 1808 the Royal Navy spent 60 years hunting slave ships at sea: 1,600 stopped, 150,000 people freed, and 1,600 British sailors dead, mostly of disease, buried thousands of miles from home. ⚓
In 1816 they ended two centuries of Barbary corsairs enslaving Europeans.
In 1896 a war that lasted 38 minutes ended slavery in Zanzibar. 🇹🇿
Almost every country on Earth outlaws slavery today.
That fight was paid for largely at British expense, by British hands.🇬🇧
So why haven't you heard any of this?
Because within living memory, someone rewrote the story. You got taught the crime. Not the cure.
The powerful exploited the world. They exploited their own people first. It was those people who ended slavery. 🇬🇧
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
History got rewritten once, in living memory, by no one who was ever named or held to account.
We are ordinary people doing what ordinary people have always done. Opening the books. Refusing to look away.
This is how we fight back. Fact by fact. Story by story. Name by name.
We are the home of British heroes. There is a place for you in it.
If you can afford to support what we do: https://t.co/rih7iKwnvf
Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧
Possibly, as Minister for Health, James Murray could compel the adult gender clinics to hand over the data they refused to give to Cass. We might then find out just how much benefit these interventions confer long term, without needing to perform experiments on children too young to give meaningful consent.
Read the testimony of the ever-expanding numbers of detransitioners. Grasp that these young people, many of them extremely vulnerable - autistic, care-experienced, abuse survivors, same-sex attracted in unsupportive families - have been irreparably harmed, left with their fertility destroyed, unending medical complications and profound psychological damage.
This is a medical scandal of epic proportions and people of power and influence are still too frightened of trans activists and trans lobby groups to do the right thing and put an end to the insanity. Kids are being sacrificed to ideology and cowardice.
“America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit."
Not sure what sort of grotesque rhetorical flourish this is but literally no one says this.
“If you ask them” “they will tell you” “they insist”… he’s just a liar. And it does all read as foreboding and evil. A threat.
On this Independence Day, I present “The Patriot” starring Mel Gibson, which I’ve recommended for 26 years, as it is an under-appreciated revenge-justice movie. Detractors note historical inaccuracies, though filmmakers never claimed it was a true story. But… they did get some history right:
- The Southern Campaign was brutal warfare — exactly as the film shows. Battle sites like Cowpens and Ninety Six highlight how neighbors fought neighbors (Patriots vs Loyalists).
- Benjamin Martin (Gibson’s character) is a composite of real militia leaders: Francis Marion (“Swamp Fox”), Thomas Sumter, Andrew Pickens & Daniel Morgan.
- Guerrilla tactics (ambushes, swamp hideouts, supply raids) mirror Marion’s real operations and how these wore down British forces in the Carolinas.
- The film’s climactic battle draws from Cowpens (1781); Daniel Morgan’s clever double-line tactics defeated Banastre Tarleton.
- Tarleton is a bit like the fictional Col. Tavington in the film, as he was notoriously brutal. His forces once overran a surrendering American unit. His nickname, “Bloody Ban,” helped turn him into a symbol of British cruelty, boosting recruitment and morale for the Patriot side.
Anyways, that all comes from the National Park Service, which gives tours of Cowpens and Ninety Six, while its tour guides often mention the film.
Enjoy the “Battle of Cowpens” scene from the movie, where the Patriots use the double-line trick. Gibson’s patriotic flag-waving is one reason the left hates this film (another is that it downplays slavery).
I was never taught America is great because it’s richer/bigger. I heard about the light bulb, airplanes, movies, the telephone, rock, jazz, basketball, the Internet, nuclear power, Ali-Frazier, Thoreau, King, Lincoln, Twain, Chandler, the Hoover Dam and the Fender Stratocaster…
As geopolitical winds turn against Turkey, the Armenian genocide is gaining recognition.
The Assyrians lost half their population (750,000 people) in the Seyfo. The same genocide. Greeks perished too.
Why is genocide recognition geopolitical? And why is it limited to one group?
To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.

🚨#BREAKING: A man in North Carolina has been arrested after he showed up to a small-town church full of worshippers with TWO FLAMETHROWERS, crossbows, 500 rounds of ammo...
...and a notebook listing the addresses of churches and schools
A church member saw him, sitting in his truck in FULL BODY ARMOR and camouflage and called 911.
An OFF-DUTY police officer, working security at that church, walked straight up to that truck and confronted him.
He told officers he was "law enforcement" there to enforce a smoking violation... but he was NOT law enforcement.
Police say what he actually had in that truck was an arsenal: two flamethrowers, two crossbows, a launcher made to look like a handgun, over 500 rounds of ammunition, knives, duct tape, and police scanners.
They disarmed him without a shot fired.
Every single church needs to have SERIOUS SECURITY, this could have been a complete massacre.
I haven't seen this story reported in any mainstream media, but it looks like this man was about to massacre hundreds of Christians in a church in North Carolina.
On this day in 1776, the United States was actually born. Not July 4. July 2. That's the day the Continental Congress voted to break from Britain, and John Adams was so certain of it that he predicted July 2 would be the great American holiday forever. He nailed everything except the date.
The vote came down to the wire, and one man had to ride through the night to save it. Delaware's delegation was split, one for independence, one against, which meant the colony's vote canceled itself out. The tie-breaker, Caesar Rodney, was 80 miles away in Delaware. He got word that he was needed and rode all night through a summer thunderstorm, sick and in pain, boots and spurs still on, and made it into Philadelphia just in time to cast Delaware's vote for independence.
The other holdouts fell into place too. In Pennsylvania, the men most opposed, including John Dickinson, deliberately stayed away from the chamber so their colony could swing to yes. South Carolina came around for the sake of a united front. When the roll was called, twelve colonies voted for independence and not a single one voted against. New York simply abstained, waiting on permission from home.
And so, on July 2, 1776, it was done. The colonies had legally, officially declared themselves free. The next day Adams wrote to his wife Abigail that this day "will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival," with "pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations." Fireworks and all. He was describing the Fourth of July two days early.
So why do we celebrate the 4th? Because that's the day Congress approved the final wording of the document explaining the decision, the Declaration of Independence. The vote to be free happened on the 2nd. The paperwork got finished on the 4th, and history remembered the paperwork.
The country was actually born in a rainstorm and a roll call on July 2, thanks in part to one sick man who refused to let a tie decide the fate of a nation.
In the wake of the SCOTUS ruling on women's sports, it is more than a little worth noting that the entire narrative (from advocacy orgs, mainstream media and Democrat leaders) was centered on the supposed harm to boys who identify as girls.
No one noted it as a major civil rights win for women and girls. Pathetic.
They know they're lying. We know they're lying. And they know that we know they're lying.
The Supreme Court did not "ban transgender athletes from sports." It allowed states to bar males from female teams.
There are many examples of "trans" and "nonbinary" female athletes competing on women's teams. You probably never heard about them, because nobody cared.
"Female plays on women's team" isn't exactly controversial. The controversy begins only when MALES enter FEMALE competition.
The reporters know this. The editors know this. Everyone involved in writing these headlines knows this.
These headlines are not "sloppy." They are carefully worded to obscure the truth.

A man (Samantha Tempest, here abbreviated to ST) is arguing in court that he belongs in a group for menopausal women. It is pointed out to him that menopause is the cessation of ovulation and that, being a man who never started, let alone ceased, ovulating he does not belong in such a group. He disagrees. He says he's had 'menopausal symptoms' like hot flushes and brain fog. This is like me claiming to have been in the army because I once shot an air rifle and quite like khaki.
You mean men, men who claim to be women. You are a national broadcaster that consistently obfuscates facts around sex because you’ve taken an ideological position the public overwhelmingly rejects. This isn’t news, it’s propaganda.
Right into my veins!💉
Justice Thomas:
"Men and boys with gender dysphoria are not women or girls, even if they believe that they are. Sex is an immutable 'biological' characteristic...it is binary."
"To use language to obscure reality—to show 'indifference regarding the truth'—is to lie to the public..."
There are three reasons.
First, woke progressives (“intersectional activists”) constantly thirst for confirmation of their moral superiority, which they typically get by defending whoever (they're told) is victimized, and by signaling their superiority both to the victimizers and to all who do not signal hard enough. Virtue signaling is socially powerful and explains a lot of what wokesters say and do.
The second reason is that there is only one victimizer that matters: Western civilization (and its defenders). So, if a group—like Muslims, trans people, illegal aliens, etc.—is plausibly victimized by the West, they become the victims. Then they are helped, their causes promoted, and any harm that comes to them becomes the cause du jour.
The third reason is that the only victims that matter are those that, by being defended, can help destroy Western civilization, or whatever parts of it stand in the way of a socialist, egalitarian (“woke”) utopia. Muslims can weaken Western civilization by increasing crime (including rape gangs), creating ghettos, and threatening terrorism and Sharia Law. Think several European cities with large unassimilated Muslim populations. The trans movement can be used as a blunt weapon to indoctrinate children into the joys of LGBTQ and as a way to divide Christian denominations. Illegal aliens can be used to defend violent gangs, drive up housing costs, and generally increase alienation in society. Thus we have sanctuary cities.
Conservatives notice what's going on, complain about it, and thereby can be identified with the "victimizers." They do unforgiveable things like opposing the spread of Islam, say that trans women aren't women, and complain about needless, avoidable violence by known illegal immigrant criminals.
So the left then secures its wonderful tasty moral superiority by defending the "victims" against the complaints of conservatives.
As to LGBT people (or women) victimized by Muslims in Muslim societies, leftists haven't been told this, so they don't believe they are. Or, if they can't avoid the facts, they believe this is a legitimate cultural difference. Not only are the moral relativists, their commitment to moral relativism becomes central to their moral self-concept when they reflect that their purpose is to defend victims as “historically marginalized groups” and to fight the historical oppressors. Any suggestion that it's a serious problem is the bigoted and offensive imposition of the great oppressor, Western civilization, which is the source of all the worst problems in the world. Any violence and other crime on the side of the victims is thus recast (in the twisted progressive mind) as legitimate acts of war, essentially; for the progressive to acknowledge a problem would be treasonous. This is why the hatred of Israelis became so pronounced after October 7.
I have no doubt that some LGBT progressives are uncomfortable with their “strange bedfellows,” but allies are allies. In fact, the self-disinterested ability to accept them as allies in the bigger fight is surely another source of that tasty sense of moral superiority.
This post is for you @TuckerCarlson.
Let me tell you what they did to Christians.
This is the Assyrian Archbishop who saved Aramaic manuscripts & died for his congregation.
Mar Addai Sher, Chaldean Archbishop of Siirt in Upper Mesopotamia, spent his life documenting lost Aramaic manuscripts.
Documenting the lost treasures of Christianity.
A scholar of Syriac, Sher catalogued five major libraries: the libraries of Siirt, Alqosh, Mosul, Diyarbakir & Mardin.
He went to Rome & Paris to document them & discovered the only copy of a 5th century text.
Sher published the Chronicle of Siirt, a history of the Church of the East from the 5th to 7th centuries.
When the sword reached Siirt, he buried the manuscripts in leather sacks.
He bribed the governor with gold to save his congregation, but he could not save himself.
Sheltered by Kurds that eventually gave him up, he was found in a frail state & killed on June 15, 1915.
They handed his head to the Ottoman governor.
A life of service to the Church & her Aramaic treasure.
To this day, his buried manuscripts are still missing.
Don’t let a fake theologian turn you into a useful idiot.
This is absurd.
The Neocons don’t care if their destabilization agenda destroys Christian presence.
On the other hand, the anti-Neocons launder history & pretend Christians weren’t third class citizens under Islamic rule.
Yes, there were periods of coexistence, but I can also give you a long list of Muslim massacres long before Israel existed.
Why do we have to go from one anti-Christian extreme to another?
Get it together @TuckerCarlson.
This is absolute bullshit. Like not even slightly an accurate retelling of history and @TuckerCarlson should correct the record. Muslim rulers in that period committed genocide against Christians and their followers raped Christian women in insane numbers. In some time periods they even stole sons of Christians to convert them to Islam by force. All of this is well recorded in history and would have taken a 10 minute fact check.
