Lancaster county widening roads to make room for more snow. This is an 8 foot V plow! This afternoon they will use pick axes & spades knocking holes in the walls of snow to drain the roads.
The Mayor announced a residential parking ban will go into effect @ 3pm Sunday, February 24. At that time, parking is banned on the even numbered sides of residential streets. The snow emergency parking ban on both sides of all emergency snow , bus & school routes is in effect

Future challenges for Lincoln. Zamrzla says we have underfunded pension plan. We need to prioritize funding for streets, then the pension plan. Raybould says affordable housing is where the city should help using TIF financing.
Lincoln Bike Plan is the next topic. Raybould invites everyone to go on a bike ride with her. Raybould says The plan encourages more to ride. Zamrzla is also a cyclist but prefers trails rather than streets for bike lanes. Zamrzla Says it’s a huge “want” but not a huge “need.”
