He’s exposing how the city spent $909,000 on only 54 Flock cameras the cameras remain property of Flock. Even if the contract runs its course and they cancel, Flock will keep the cameras despite paying nearly a million dollars for them

It’s true I looked into the flock contracts and they maintain all rights and ownership over the cameras, once installed the city can’t even move the location of the cameras or remove them

- Flock hardware “is owned and shall remain the exclusive property of Flock.”
- “Title to any Flock Hardware shall not pass to [the city].”
A The city may not remove, move or take possession of the units
- At the end of the term, Flock removes the cameras

The city is leasing the cameras and using the software…. This sounds like one of the biggest ripoffs to taxpayers in history

That’s $16,833 per camera over the 5 year contract

What if support for font data like Kerning Pairs, Kerning Tables, and even GPOS Tables was added? This would utilize the spacing beauty that many fonts provide like: Nexa Bold Regular (Blue top) vs same font without auto kerning in Blender (grey bottom).

@pitiwazou But to answer your question, I think it depends on your audience. If you are making a full-fledged add-on, then up-front "before you buy" terms should be spelled out so buyers know what kind of warranty / support is available. I personally aim to parallel Blender LTS cycles.

@pitiwazou Trying to migrate "legacy addon-ons" to the new Extension system has not been easy at all so I decided to pause that for now. The closest I could get was broken and missing n-panel buttons. Thankfully my legacy add-ons seem to work fine even in Blender 5.0

After failing to detect the SPEN-HP-05 side buttons with AutoHotKey v2, I went back to Blender for a Sculpt Mode workaround:
Rotate View: MMB. Change to Pen + Alt.
Pan View: MMB + Shift. Change to Pen + Shift+ Alt
Zoom View: MMB + Ctrl. Change to Pen + Shift + Ctrl

@HP Where is the missing middle mouse button setting for the HP app / HP pen? "Scroll" is not cutting it. For CAD software and Blender, I want to use one of the side buttons of the HP pen as a middle mouse button to rotate my 3D view, but the HP app does not have this. Please add

#Blender I found workaround for the #hppen to rotate the 3d view (not using Blender's emulate 3 button mouse feature).

Blender>Preferences>Keymap, search "Rotate View" and locate the one that uses Mouse "Middle". Change Middle to "Eraser". HP app, assign a side button as "Erase"

@HP Thank you; AFAIK, this seems to be a MPP 2.0 and Windows and Blender issue. MPP 2.0 / Windows Ink only allow certain shortcuts and MMB is not one of them. "Scroll" is a newer input type allowed but not utilized yet in Blender because it's not cross OS supported (Linux / Mac etc).

Sadly, this only really works in 3D View, but not while sculpting since "Erase" in Blender sculpting seems hard coded to invert the sculpt brush. Even in Blender 5.0!
